Advancing Equity for Women and Girls
Funded by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE), this program aims to promote the economic security and prosperity of immigrant and racialized women in the Greater Toronto Area. The goal is to address systemic barriers to employment and support a feminist response and recovery from the impact COVID-19 has had on immigrant and racialized women. The project includes consultation with key GTA stakeholders, including women and business leaders, that will directly inform the creation of workshops and a toolkit to implement inclusive practices for employers.
Workforce Pathways for Women in Senior Care

The program offers a solution to upskill and place immigrant and racialized women in the Greater Toronto Area into sustainable careers in the senior care sector. The program includes 4 weeks of online skills training, 12 weeks of paid work placement leading to employment, and on the job support for the duration of the work placement. This program is funded by the Ontario Government’s Skills Development Fund (SDF).
